After traveling for the past couple of weekends, it was nice to finally have a normal weekend back at home. We kicked off Friday afternoon by stopping by our friend's lemonade stand:
Sweet Addy goes to school with Sadie & is in her girl scout troop. She raised almost $100 for Frisco Family Services - so proud of her for being an inspiration for the rest of the girls!
Saturday morning we had to wake up early because Sadie had a basketball game. Unfortunately, this was the only Saturday game of the season & most of the girls were either out of town or at cheer camp, so we only had 5 girls & they played their little hearts out with no breaks:
And they still won! Sadie has some special cheerleaders this game:
Mimi & Doc just happened to be in the area so they drove over to surprise her!
After basketball, we went straight to soccer camp at the Pit:
Swimming is over, basketball only has 1 game left & then soccer starts after Labor Day, so I signed the girls up for a few Saturday morning skills camp to start getting them ready for the fall season. This was Sophie's first time & she was so excited! Luckily Sadie had a friend meet her:
That night we had friends over to cookout & swim:
Sunday morning was Welcome Back Sunday at church where they kicked off our events for fall & promoted all of the children to new classes. We were all treated to breakfast burritos & Krispy Kreme donuts:
and then we took the girls to their new classes. Sadie finally got moved to a new building where all of the elementary, middle & high school students are. She was so excited, mostly because she gets to attend children's church now:
Finally, that afternoon, Sadie got to go to Kenzie's birthday party & she was beyond thrilled to see all of her friends & help her BFF celebrate:
As fun as we had traveling this summer, it felt really good to have a normal weekend back at home. Here's to our last week of summer!
