When we got home from vacation, Santa left the girls an early Christmas present. This was on Saturday morning, so a few days before Christmas. Our sweet little elf, Ellie, has been watching the girls all month. She even flew to Orlando & Park City to surprise the girls! And let me tell you, Sadie has never been more excited to see her. Even though it is a pain having her around sometime, this was one of those years where it was worth it to see the excitement on her face :)
Anyway, when we woke up, they found Ellie reading an instruction manual & sitting on a basketball goal:
Apparently, Santa wanted to give our family a gift but it was going to be too big to fit in his sleigh on Christmas Eve with all of the other presents so he dropped it off early. We might have had to explain this to the girls because they can't read or quite understand what was going on, but they quickly figured it out:
While we were out of town, he had a basketball goal installed outside!
The girls were so excited, especially Sadie! Actually, I may be more excited than they are!
It's an adjustable goal that moves from 7 feet to 10 feet as they get older. This is not a gift they asked for, but something I have wanted for years. Now that they are old enough to go outside & shoot by themselves, I think it was will be perfect. Even if neither of the girls end up being basketball players, I still think it is a fun gift to have as a family & I hope we spend a lot of time outside playing together. Thanks Santa! I know you worked hard to pull that surprise off :)
