Sophie's Halloween Party 2017

The girls & I have thrown holiday parties for the past couple of years, but it has always been them together, until this year. I figured since Sadie was at school, Sophie could throw her first Halloween party for all of her friends:

That is definitely not all of them, but we tried to take a picture at the beginning & a lot of people came & went throughout the morning. We decorated the house, made a few Halloween snacks & then were surprised by all of the yummy snacks our friends brought also:

The cold front blew in on Friday so not only was it cold outside, but it was also really windy which meant we had to stay inside. So we kicked off the party with a witch's game:

And then the kids wanted to eat:

Of course there was a lot of visiting & a lot of playing:

Aren't those little super girls adorable?!

Our last activity was Halloween bingo played with candy corn:

To my surprise, the kids did really well! They were able to play pretty independently & didn't really eat the candy corn until the end. I was so impressed, I had to go upstairs & take a picture of everyone:

Without a doubt, her first party was a great time! I got a little worried that night when she got sick because I was texting with a few friends & their kids were also sick, so I worried it was something from the party. Come to find out, there was a nasty bug going around her preschool & I have since found out about 6 kids in her class & at least 15 kids total that have gotten sick from her school. The bad news is that none of us knew our children were sick yet so they spread germs at the party & about half of our party guests ended up getting sick this weekend also. Oh boy, the joys of motherhood! I'm sure that won't stop us from having another party in the spring. So thankful to have 2 more years at home with this sweet girl:
