Nightlife at Sea

Another one of my favorite parts about the cruise (& the last thing I will blog about, I promise!) was our evenings. Most nights we went to the early show because we knew if we gave the kids a snack, they would be alert & awake for the show. And the shows did not disappoint! In fact, they were better than I expected! We were really excited to see:

We heard before we went that they had put this show together & were using the cruise as kind of a pilot to see if they could take it Broadway in NY. Let's just say I will not be surprised if it makes it! There was another show call Enchanted that had several Disney storylines in it & that might have been our favorite. Seriously, all 6 of the kids sat still & watched them & even the dads enjoyed them!

Poor Sophie was exhausted one night & totally fell asleep in the show with Bryan:

After the show, we would usually go meet a character or we would go to the Promenade Lounge where the had a live band & dance. We had lots of dance parties on the ship & the kids loved it:

We had fun dressing up every night. One night was formal night so we brought the girls "fancy" dresses that they don't normally wear & the moms had fun bringing cocktail dresses that we don't normally wear either!

Of course I got sucked into buying our picture that night also:

Most people really dressed up for the formal night but the next time it was semi-formal night, I felt like it was a bit more casual:

Bryan & I are kind of food snobs, so I wasn't expecting much from the restaurants based on past cruises, but I was really surprised! They had 3 main dining rooms & we got to rotate every night but our servers stayed with us. The first & last night we ate at:

The kids loved this restaurant the most! They had a live band & a dance floor so the kids could dance throughout the evening. Plus they had surprise visits from Tiana & Louis the alligator :)

Our second night we ate at:

In case you don't know who Triton is, that is Ariel's father. We ate here on our formal night & I tried to get a picture of our whole group at dinner:

Every night they had the table set up for us - kids on one end & adults on the other. This was the best part of the cruise. Our servers were awesome & they would literally take care of the kids. Not only would they serve them, they would cut their food, pour their ketchup, you name it - they did it! We would order their food as soon as we sat down & as soon as they finished eating, we would send them up to the kids club. Literally my favorite part every day because we could enjoy most of our dinner & dessert in peace! We were usually at dinner until 10:15 -10:30 most nights :)

The 3rd restaurant was:

I heard about this one before we went. We ate their twice & the second night, they had coloring sheets for everyone (children & adults) and they asked us to draw a picture. Later in the evening they actually brought our drawings to life & we got to see them animated on the wall. Absolutely incredible:

Our last night on board was special because it was Austin & Julianne's 9th wedding anniversary:

I told our servers the night before so they had a surprise dessert for them & they came out singing to them. So sweet!

To end this post, I have to include a picture of our wonderful servers, Caroline & Hans:

They were incredible & made our journey that much more fun! Too bad we are back at home & I am now doing all of the cooking/cleaning/serving again!
