This weekend was kind of peaceful & boy did I need it. I've had a lot going on lately & this week is going to get even busier so I enjoyed a little bit of down time while I could.
Friday night we went to dinner with Bryan. Our kitchen is always closed on Friday nights because I am usually tired after a long week & ready to be served :) The girls wanted Mexican so we went to Fuzzy's tacos & sat on the patio. It was absolutely perfect weather so we moved from one patio to the another:
It's kind of become a tradition of ours to go get ice cream on Friday nights when we have nothing else going on. This picture cracked me up - it really shows their attitudes these days!
Saturday morning I took Sadie on a date & we went to a pancake breakfast:
This was a fundraiser for one of our local high schools to support Relay for Life. Sadie was so excited to go on a date with me while Sophie & Bryan slept in. They actually ran out of pancakes so they started serving french toast, which I actually like better!
After our date, we picked up Sophie & headed to Emmy's 1st birthday party:
That picture cracks me up because Emmy is looking at her cake wondering what she is supposed to do with it while all of the big kids are patiently watching her & waiting so they can have some:
We had a fun time - thanks for inviting the girls Eva!
Saturday night we stayed home & grilled out. I really hoped to go swimming but a cool front came through & it was pretty windy so we didn't.
Sunday was no different than most Sundays. After church & lunch, we enjoyed a lazy afternoon followed by our weekly bike ride & trip to Bahama Bucks. Another fun family tradition! I didn't take any pictures but I really love the new trails by our house.
Unfortunately, after a restful weekend, I ended up working until 2 am last night. I tried to enjoy my time with the girls & then made up for it after they went to sleep. I listed a house this weekend:
and was negotiating with another realtor most of the night. And I had a friend come over to help me work on Relay, which is coming up. Thank goodness we don't have to be anywhere early on Monday mornings because I needed that extra hour of sleep this morning!
