Sadie officially finished her soccer season a few weeks ago but we just had their team party last night. We had the chance to take the girls to their first official soccer game to watch FC Dallas. We are so lucky to host our MLS team in Frisco only minutes from our house! Along with free tickets, the girls got invited to participate in the rally tunnel down on the field before the game. They told us to be there 45 minutes early but honestly, we just waited around so we took a lot of pictures:
The girls thought it was so cool that we got to go down on the field during pregame activities! They got to watch the players warm up & experience the feel of the stadium & the crowd:
We even got a picture of the soccer moms:
Unfortunately 1 of the girls couldn't make it that night & the other girl hadn't gotten there yet. Sorry we missed you in our pregame photo shoot!
Finally it was time for the girls to walk out on the field. They stood behind the rope & cheered on the players as they walked in:
We stayed down there for the national anthem where they were surprised with fireworks. Eventually, we made our way to our seats. We had cookies & popcorn waiting for the girls & that made them even happier! I'm not sure how much of the game they really watched, but they had fun running around & playing together while cheering for the red team:
We took a break at one point so Coach Jeremy could have an awards ceremony:
They were too excited for their trophies & team pictures:
My favorite part of the night might have been how we ended it - with the Sweet Cleats cheer!
Can't say how thankful we are to have found this team! For our first foray into team sports with our children, we lucked out to have a great coach & great parents :)
