Sadie has continued soccer this spring with her original team, the Sweet Cleats & their last game is next weekend. I was a little disappointed when their season started in February, but now that it is ending, it is bittersweet. I won't miss the early mornings, but I will miss the socialization with our friends :) And I feel like the season is ending right when the weather is getting better.
Last Saturday they had pictures:
Aren't they adorable?! We already had the socks from the fall semester but this year we splurged on the matching team sweatshirts since it was pretty cold for most of the games. And we got the coaches matching t-shirts which they love - ha! I'm sure it looks like Sadie could care less in their team picture, but honestly, this was taken at 8:10 am & she is not a morning person so it was hard getting smiles out of her. Until she warmed up:
By the time her game started at 9:00 she was ready to go. In fact, she did so well, she scored 6 goals:
And she only played half the game because we have to make sure all of the girls have equal playing time! This was her after the game - she wanted to pose & I asked her to hold up a number 6 for our records :) So proud of her - I can't believe the little soccer player she has turned in to! Especially since Bryan & I know nothing about soccer. I think we are going to put her in a soccer camp this summer to help her start learning some more technical skills. Then we'll really know if she likes it or not!
