I love it when holidays fall on a school day. Well, not the major ones, but the little ones. It makes it more fun to dress up the girls! Sadie really understood St. Patrick's Day this year so she was so excited to wear her green shirt! And we found green shamrock necklaces, stickers & tattoos when I got out our decorations:
Bryan saw this picture & wondered where I took it & it's actually from school! We were talking in the car about how cute they looked & Sadie reminded me that I didn't take a picture of them before they left the house. Isn't that sad?! So they jumped out of the car & I snapped a pic before they got their backpacks. Notice they both have necklaces & two matching bows - one of them wasn't wearing them anymore when I picked her up. Any guesses?!
Sadie has been begging to invite a friend over since we hadn't in a while, so I thought yesterday would be fun since it was a holiday. She invited Tatum & they played while Sophie napped. They played with their tattoos & stickers for a while & then I had a special surprise for them. I found a recipe for Lucky Shamrock Mix which I happened to have all of the ingredients for:
It's basically Lucky Charms (St. Patrick's Day edition), popcorn, mini marshmallows, white chocolate & green sprinkles. They had so much fun making it & eating it! We even packed a bag for Tatum to take home. Too bad there isn't much left because Bryan & I have been snacking on it all day!
