We haven't been to many UT football games this season since Sadie started soccer. We also went to Disney World & threw off our schedule a little, but we were determined to go to the game on Thanksgiving night since we were in Austin. Unfortunately my family is divided & our rivalry schools just happened to play each other that night which works out for all of us. My sister & my mom stayed home with Max, Zoe & Sophie, while the rest of us went to the game. Sadie & Kason were pumped they were old enough to go:
Love our little Longhorn & Red Raider fans! Bryan & I were also there with my Dad. Somehow I didn't get a picture of my Dad but I made sure we got a family photo. Sorry Sophie!
It rained the entire first half - through the 1st & 2nd quarters & even through halftime. Thank goodness I brought my rain boots & we bought ponchos. That was the only thing that kept me there:
For some reason Sadie didn't like the pancho & just preferred to be wet. Thank goodness it wasn't that cold yet! I took the kids down during the 2nd quarter to take a break from the rain & to let them eat. Sadie just had to have a corn dog:
The rain finally slowed down during the 2nd half & somehow the Longhorns picked up the momentum. It ended up being a pretty good game, but we still lost. Honestly, I expected to lose since we've had a horrible season, but they surprised me & it was a good game. Daddy & Sadie got pretty excited every time we scored & he would throw Sadie around in the air & she loved it:
This lucky girl has been to at least 1 home game every year since she was born but poor Sophie had to stay home. I don't think she would have enjoyed it in the rain this year so we will have to make up for it next season. Hook 'Em!
