Life Lately

Last weekend it rained the entire weekend & it was cold but I didn't mind because we didn't have too much going on so I got Christmas wrapped up. Literally. Our house is decorated & every present has been bought, wrapped & under the tree. Can I tell you how relaxing the rest of my week was?! I think I have watched a Christmas movie every single night since I am actually caught up :)

But enough about me, the girls had a regular week back on schedule since they had time off for Thanksgiving. Sadie carried her umbrella around all weekend since it was raining:

On Monday, Sadie's gym asked Sophie if she wanted to take a trial class while Sadie was in class, so we did. It was a parent/tot class & she had fun, but honestly, I still feel like she is a little young. I spent most of my time doing everything for her & by the end of the class my back was hurting because she is getting heavy! But the girls loved doing gymnastics together:

It was probably more of a distraction to both of them because they were in the same gym but different classes so they both spent the entire hour yelling each other's names & waving to each other! I will admit that I would rather be in class with her than chasing her around the lobby, but I just can't justify the cost at this age. At least she had a fun morning:

The rest of our week was filled with swimming lessons, school & MOPS. It was a little more exciting because we started our countdown to Christmas calendar this week & so far the girls got new Christmas pajamas, outfits, earrings & underwear. Sounds like a lot, I know, but I try to give them some of this at the beginning of the month so they can wear it over & over again :) And most of it I bought on sale after last holiday season or it is a hand me down from last year. Love it! They have even been eating on their Christmas dishes. There may be a few squabbles over who gets to eat on the reindeer plate vs. the Santa plate.

Last night, our mentor mom had a MOPS Christmas party for us. Her house looked beautiful & we enjoyed a lovely meal on her Christmas china. So fun!

We had no plans today, so I invited a bunch of friends over for a Holiday Open House. I told them I would have a Christmas movie playing in the media room & the kids could play while the moms visited. I had the house all decorated, kitchen set up & I even baked 4 different types of Christmas cookies yesterday afternoon. But then Sadie spent the entire night in the bathroom sick to her stomach so I had to call everyone & cancel this morning. We were so bummed! Poor Sadie cried all morning because she didn't feel good & she was mad I cancelled the party. Who knows, maybe we can try again another day if we can find some open space in our calendar. This month is busy with 2 little girls' birthdays & Christmas!
