Sadie was supposed to have a soccer game on Saturday morning & I was snack mom so I had all of the snacks ready for the game & they were Halloween themed. I was quite proud of myself. And then we woke up Saturday morning & it was still raining & her game was cancelled. Again. Two weeks in a row. The good news is that everyone got to sleep in for Halloween:
These matching Elsa & Anna gowns are the first souvenir that Sadie picked out at Disney. Don't they look so sweet in their matching sister gowns :)
We also enjoyed a Halloween breakfast since we weren't in a hurry:
And we even carved a pumpkin:
We have decorated pumpkins before, but this was our first time to carve one with Sadie. Mostly Bryan & Sadie did it while I chased Sophie around & tried to entertain her. He got out the cookie cutters & let Sadie design it so she chose hearts for the eyes & a star for the nose. Bryan drew the mouth himself. I have to say, for their first pumpkin, I thought they did pretty good:
As much as I hate missing soccer, it sure was nice to have a lazy Saturday morning at home, especially in this dreary weather. But we did venture out for lunch. Our friends were having a combination Halloween/college football game watching party at their house & they had the TGI Friday's food truck there:
The food was great! We loved seeing all of our friends & the kids had a blast running around with their friends. My only complaint is that the party was outside & the girls were nasty when we came home - their shoes & feet were covered with mud & grass. Unfortunately, that was only a foreshadowing of how dirty they would get Halloween night :( I don't mind the cooler weather, but I sure wish it would stay dry around here.
