I hosted our play group for MOPS today & we did a Halloween party in our pajamas. It ended up being the perfect weather for an indoor play date at someone's house because more storms rolled in this morning & it has been raining all day. I was hoping to eat, play & do a craft outside, but instead, we were stuck inside. No problems with this bunch - this kids played while the moms visited & then we all ate. And ate. We had so much yummy food:
I made one of my favorites, caramel apple dip, which I hadn't made yet this fall. I could literally eat it straight with a spoon - no apples needed! Someone brought cute fruit cups decorated like jack-o-lanterns. We had some fall trail mix, monster mix popcorn, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cake & we even had witches hats made out of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups & pretzels:
I even got brave (because I am not very creative) & made mummies instead of normal pigs in a blanket:
And I went step farther & made mummy juice boxes & capri suns:
Poor Sophie has a reputation because every time I turn around she has stolen someone's food. Literally she was double fisting with a muffin & a mummy, neither which was hers :(
Don't mind Sadie's hair - she said she wanted crazy hair to go with her skeleton costume :)
Somehow I took a bunch of pictures before we ate, but hardly any while everyone was here. I took one group shot when I realized that most everyone was standing in the same area, but then I realized that Stacy wasn't in it:
Such a fun morning! I feel like we have been celebrating Halloween all week so I'm kind of glad the official holiday is tomorrow.
