The first Saturday of November Frisco always has it's annual Community/Veteran's Day parade. We have participated in it since Sadie was born & it has become a fun family tradition. Bryan gets invited to participate with the other school board members & families are welcome. The last couple of years, we have had the only kids, but this year, John's girls came & Sadie had so much fun riding in the back of the truck with them & handing out candy:
These pictures were all taken before the parade started. We have to get there early so the girls have fun seeing all of the bands/football teams/cheerleaders/drill teams/mascots before we take off:
I sat in the back of the truck with the younger girls while Bryan walked the parade & handed out candy. Personally, I think Sophie had the best ride in the house:
The other school board members asked me to take pictures throughout the parade, so I took a lot. I'm not even posting all of them on here because I just shared them with their families, but I still have a lot to share here too:
To recap, everyone took turns pushing Sophie around & she was the hit of the parade. She just licked her lollipop & waved at everyone, especially dogs :) Sadie ate more candy than she threw & the weather was cold & dreary. But we still had a great time & we were grateful to participate. We saw several of our friends along the parade route so I wonder when the girls will want to stop participating & actually watch:
