The Rest of Our Weekend.....

I feel like soccer takes up a good chunk of our weekend since we have practice on Friday night & a game on Saturday, but we usually have a few other things sprinkled in between. After practice, I went to a friend's house for a girl's night out while Bryan took the girls to the homecoming football game. He took some pictures but none of them really turned out. He did tell me that Sadie loved all of the girls' mums. In fact, some of the mums have candy in them & they shared it with Sadie? I can only imagine because mums are different than I was in school......

 

After her game on Saturday morning, we went straight to Byron & Tatum's birthday party. It was at the same time as her game, so we missed most of it, but we still wanted to stop by & drop off presents & let her eat a cupcake. Tatum is actually on Sadie's team so she missed the game & Sadie was pretty bummed since they are besties:

 

 

That night we had The Haley Family over & it was so good to see them! We hadn't seen them all summer so we had a lot to catch up on. We used to get together with the kids often, but Mia went back to work so I miss seeing her. Bryan grilled & we spent the evening outside watching college football:

 

 

I'm trying to take advantage of the fall weather before it turns cold, so I was excited to do s'mores with the kids but we couldn't get our fireplace to work so we used the grill instead:

 

 

Sundays are the only days we do not make plans. Besides church. We used to swim a lot on Sunday nights just the 4 of us, but since the water is too cold, we now go on bike rides. Sadie thinks it's fun now that she has her own bike:

 

 

We will ride to the park & then leave her bike there so she can hop in with Sophie & then we can go on all of the new trails they have built by our house. I'm starting to get a little sad though because it's getting darker earlier every night & I don't know what we are going to do when the time changes in a few months. Winter always seems longer when it is cold & we are stuck inside because it gets dark so early :(
