I know it is October & we are in Halloween mode, but we actually had our first talk about Christmas this week. The girls were too excited to find a little something special in the mailbox just for them:
They got post cards from Santa! Sadie was kind of confused at first & then she said "I didn't know Santa was a teacher!" Somehow these notes came straight from the North Pole with a little help from Rudolph:
Their notes basically said the same thing but it was a good reminder (especially for Sadie) that she has to be on her best behavior over the next couple of months. She has told me several times that she is being good & doing her chores because Santa is watching:
As you can see, the post cards somehow got sent from the North Pole through Salt Lake City :)
Honestly, this was such a fun surprise this week & I have a feeling their post cards will be sitting out as a reminder because so far they seem to be helping the girls be on their best behavior. Sadie at least. Sophie still doesn't know who Santa is!
By the way, I have to throw a shout out to Mimi because she may have helped Santa deliver the notes. Thanks Mimi!
