Technically we were in Florida 7 days, but 2 were travel days & then we had a 5 day park hopper. Our flight on Saturday was later that evening, so we actually had most of the day to hang out before we headed to the airport. Since we couldn't go back to any parks, we went to Downtown Disney. The girls had money & gift cards given from their grandparents for shopping & we had a little left to spend. They both got nightgowns - Sadie got Elsa & she picked Anna for Sophie. They both got a pack of panties - Sadie got Frozen & she picked Minnie Mouse for Sophie. We also bought them a new book which I inscribed inside for the trip. With their remaining money, Sadie decided to buy a new princess dress. She really wanted Sleeping Beauty but we couldn't find it at a single park, so we were hoping to find it at Downtown Disney. Unfortunately, they looked it up & her size was sold out on the entire Disney property. So she got Belle instead. Which I think is more fitting since we never saw Sleeping Beauty & we technically met Belle & ate dinner at her castle.
After we finished our shopping, Bryan took the girls to ride a few small rides that they have:
This was the first they let Sophie ride a ride completely by herself. She was so proud of herself! You can hardly see Sadie, but she met some friends & wanted to sit in the caboose with them :)
While they were riding, I continued shopping at my favorite candy store in all of Disney: Goofy's Candy Shop. We had 18 snack credits left that I didn't want to go to waste. We had some fresh stuff made that we enjoyed there & then we took a bunch home. Some we kept for us to snack on & some we gave as gifts:
We actually headed to the airport super early because it was hot & crowded downtown, so the girls ate, played & watched a movie while hanging out in the terminal:
Of course the first time we get to an airport super early, our flight is delayed. Of course. We had another late night, but it was worth it. Our trip was amazing & I still can't believe how good the girls did. They are at such a great age where everything truly is magical & I thoroughly enjoyed seeing it through their eyes. And we really enjoyed spending extra time with Bryan's family, especially Tim, Jessica, Kaitlyn, Braxton & Whitney. We don't get to spend nearly enough time with your family since you live in Colorado, but I know the girls loved spending quality time with their cousins. And lastly, thank you to Sherry & Robert for planning such an amazing trip. We can't tell you how much we appreciate you spending the time & money to make this trip happen. And for letting us tag along on your anniversary celebration! Cheers to 40 years! Thank you for being such a great example for our families.
