We had a huge rain storm that lasted from Thursday afternoon through Saturday night. We needed the rain, but it did put a damper on our weekend plans. Sadie's soccer practice got cancelled Friday night & then her game got cancelled on Saturday afternoon. Normally I wouldn't mind having a break, but she just missed a weekend of soccer while we were are Disney, so now she's had 2 weeks off. We were also scheduled to run a 5k race with the girls on Saturday morning & it also got cancelled. It is the big FISD race that raised money for student scholarships. We have ran it every year since Sadie was born & this was the first time in 16 years that they had to cancel it.
It might have been wet & some of our outside events were cancelled, but that didn't stop some of our other activities! The girls had a birthday party Saturday morning at Sci-Tech & they were excited to wear their Halloween costumes. The theme was bubbles & they made a huge bubble that was bigger than Sadie:
They also got to make dry ice bubbles & hold them in their hands:
The party was for Alana, so most of their friends from school & soccer were there. Of course Sophie got invited too since she tags along with Gavin, but they mostly ran around & ate. The big kids had a blast exploring the science museum & playing together:
Alana's theme was Rapunzal ( you can see her standing above with her purple dress on & matching headband) & Julieanne did a good job with decorations. She even made the cupcakes look like they were on a tower:
And Sadie loved the theme because she loves movies, princesses & Tangled. Thanks for the invite Tse family - it was a great escape from hibernating at home!
