Big Orange Pumpkin Farm 2015

Every October since Sadie was born, we have gone to the Big Orange Pumpkin Farm. It was always 30 minutes north of us in the country, but this year, they moved the farm to a new location which was even farther. It was easier to find, but honestly, I liked the old farm better. And we decided to go on a Friday which was probably not a good idea. It was so crowded today :( My girls were not in the best moods, it was hot, I tried to make them look cute in their fall outfits for pictures & nothing was going according to plan. Needless to say it was a stressful morning, but looking back at pictures, we got quite a few & it appears that all went well. Guess you can call that a successful day! We met our friends Lena, Kenzie & KJ so you can probably tell that about half the pictures are mine & half are hers.
As soon as we got there, we tried to take pictures with all of the fun pumpkin props. Bad idea. All they wanted to do was play:

Then we made it to the other picture area where they have hay bales & pumpkins on display in front of the barn. Can you tell they are used to people taking pictures since they have photo props everywhere?!

We finally relented & let them have a snack since we took so many pictures. Too bad neither of us got the money shot we had hoped for :( I think we got better pictures of the older girls together than we did with their siblings:

My girls probably enjoyed going through the barn & feeding the animals the most. Sadie has no fear & will feed everything, Sophie just likes to wave at everything:

Poor Kenzie was afraid of the animals so they skipped this area & then we met up with them in the hay maze. We didn't get any pictures in the maze because the girls ran through the whole thing while we walked slowly with the little ones. Finally, we decided to end our trip with the hay ride. For some reason, standing in line for the hayride & visiting was just as fun as the ride itself:

Before we left, we walked the pumpkin patch & let all of the kids pick their own pumpkin to take home. I'm not gonna lie, it was a long, stressful morning. Some days are just better than others, but now that I am home, looking at the pictures, I am thankful we made the trip. I just hope next year will be easier when they are a little older!
