Aruba by Night 2015

I know, I took a lot of pictures while we were on vacation, but I swear this is my last post. Most nights, we left the resort & went to dinner, so we always took a picture on our balcony before sunset or at the restaurant. So here we go:

This was our first evening there after a full day in the water. We took pictures on our balcony before we left. Sadie isn't always in the best mood when it comes time for pictures, so I happened to carry some skittles with me & would bribe her to smile when I needed her to. That back fired because you will see extra pictures of her all week with one of us at dinner. She magically wanted to take pictures all the time!

Since we had access to the club level, we stopped by on our way to dinner every night to have an appetizer & drink & since there was other people there, they always offered to take pictures of us. And we couldn't resist:

And then our cab driver offered again when we got to the restaurant:

This was a cute little restaurant that is an old house. Most of the dining is outside around the pool & it has a great atmosphere. We would totally go there again. Our table had a cute little couch on one side & Sadie insisted I sit by her:

The next evening we went to a restaurant called Barefoot, which is actually just like it sounds. You take off your shoes when you get there & your table is set up on the beach. The girls loved it! It was right by the airport & the cruise terminal, so we had a glowing cruise ship to look at all night (which was kind of pretty at night) & the girls loved seeing the airplanes come & go:

Quick disclaimer - I love these pictures, but poor Sadie - here eyes are swollen because she got sunburned underneath them. The rest of her face was fine, but she was really sunburned underneath them & on her nose. She didn't really gripe that night, but looking back at pictures it looks horrible. She definitely peeled on her nose & we quickly realized that her face is extra sensitive & spent the rest of the trip re-applying sunscreen on her face.

Two nights we skipped dinner out. The day of our island tour, we had a huge lunch so we just ate a light dinner at the club. The next night, they had a family night at the pool, so we grabbed dinner at the club & then headed to the pool to see:

Sadie was so excited! She grabbed a float & watched most of the movie like this:

Sophie wasn't interested, so I spent most of the evening chasing her around & splashing in the pool.

Our final night there, we went to dinner at the seafood restaurant at the hotel. Of course we had to enjoy the club one last time for appetizers & our sunset picture:

The girls absolutely loved going to the club every night. We usually saw some of the friends & they got to snack. They left a high chair out for Sophie since we were there every day & they had these little tables that Sadie thought was just for her. What I have failed to mention is that they served dessert every night from 8:00 - 10:00 so we went every night & indulged before we went to bed. Which is why I gained weight on vacation :) One thing I did not eat:

We even saw Sadie's friend Alexandra at dinner our last night:

I'm telling you, people were so friendly, everyone just kept offering to take pictures of us, so this was our final family picture at dinner that week:

Fun fact: Bryan buys a new golf polo every where we travel, usually from the golf resort he plays. That is his souvenir & this is the one he bought in Aruba. I love the color!

Our final morning there we enjoyed breakfast one last time in the club & soaked up the scenery before we left:

We traveled on July 4th so we were dressed patriotically. I definitely miss waking up & seeing this every morning:

& of course I miss seeing this every evening:

But I have plenty of pictures & memories to go along with them. So thankful for another vacation with our family. I truly enjoy having that one on one time with each of them as we get away from the chaos of our life at home. But I'm not gonna lie, it was a little easier coming home this time knowing that we have a pool in the backyard. I may not have a picturesque beach to look at, but at least we have cool water to jump in!
