Somehow my friend Jamie found out about this free event at Dr. Pepper Ball Park last weekend so we met her & her sister at the field with our children in tow ready for a fun evening under the stars! As soon as we walked in, we saw Princess Elsa & Sadie was very shy but still managed to have her picture taken with her:
They had the concession stands open for dinner, there was a bounce house, airbrush tattoos & a playground. Needless to say the kids had a blast until we told them it was movie time:
The main event was Ice Age III shown on the jumbo screen. They let us sit in the outfield to watch the movie while they passed out popcorn & glow in the dark necklaces. It couldn't have been a more perfect evening - I mean seriously, can you see the rainbow in the background? It was actually a double rainbow & we saw it while we were driving to the ball park.
Everyone got nice & cozy for the movie while we enjoyed our snacks:
This lasted for a little while, but eventually, they got up & ran around. There were a lot of other kids just running around the field playing, so ours wanted to join. We didn't really care because we weren't really watching the movie anyway - I think the adults were talking most of the time!
As we were leaving, Sadie was carrying her blanket & she came up to me & said "Mom - hold this please because I need to hold Tatum's hand." Sure enough, they held hands the entire time walking from the outfield to our cars :) So cute!
What a fun evening - thanks for inviting us Jamie!
