This has been a busy week. We have been at vacation bible school every morning! This one was at the First Baptist Church, which is right by our house & where we go to school & MOPS. It technically runs from 9:00 - 12:30, but I had to be there before 8:00 every day & we usually didn't leave until 1:00. The good news is that lunch was provided so all I had to do when we got home was put the girls down for naps :)
The theme this year was:
This was my 3rd year helping & it was probably my favorite. I am more involved so I know more people & the girls are older so they are enjoying it more as well. Sadie was in class with one of her best friends, Tatum, so she couldn't have been happier:
They got moved to the older side of pre-school so they got to do a lot more this year with the big kids. She also really understood the themes every day (crazy sock day, hat day, sunglass day, etc.) & loved participating.
Sophie had a hard time the first 2 days but she did great after that. On Monday they came & got me because she had been crying the entire time & then she started vomiting every where :( Needless to say they made me take her home. The next day she was still fussy but she never ran fever or got sick again. By Wednesday, she was back to her old self & loving life with her baby friends:
Bryan was a huge help this week. Since I had to be there early, he woke the girls up, got them ready, fed & brought them at 9:00 every day. Sophie usually doesn't wake until 9:00 so I hated to wake them up so early since I had to be there. I may have helped a little by laying out their outfits, breakfast & packing Sophie's bag, but he still had the hard part & he rocked it!
He actually got lots of compliments this day because this was crazy hair day & he spent extra time making sure Sadie would fit in:
With such little hair, who knew she could have so many pony tails?!
Both of the girls came home with backpacks today full of art work. I am used to Sadie's art work, but this was really the first time Sophie had some. I was so excited I had to put some of it on display around the house:
Even though we don't go to church there, they are so welcoming & I am so glad we found their preschool ministry. It is such a blessing to our little family!
