Spring

Our weather has been dicey lately, but I guess that's what happens in spring. I keep telling myself that April showers bring May flowers :)

 

But we have had a few good days here & there so we have been taking advantage of the cooler weather outside before it gets too hot. Last Friday we met 2 of Sadie's friends from school at a new park:

 

That is Alana on the left & Katie in the middle. Alana was in her class last year & I have gotten to know her mom & brother. He is just a few months older than Sophie so they will be starting Sonshine School together next year. Katie just moved to Frisco this year but she has quickly became one of Sadie's best friends. We hear about Katie all the time when Sadie comes home from school, so I finally met her mom & planned a play date:

 

 

Sophie was there also & she had just as much fun as the older kids even though they were too busy to stop & play with her:

 

 

I love that I was able to catch her in the moment - she was clapping, smiling & laughing out loud. This girl loves being outside as much as her sister!

 

We also met some friends at a different park this morning:

 

 

These are some of the babies from our MOPS table. Sadie was the only big kid there & she was too busy to play with the little ones, so she missed out on the picture because she was running around somewhere else :)

 

I definitely love the cooler weather before it gets too hot, but I wish the sun would decide to stay out. We have had a lot of rain lately, but then again, our yard needs it so I guess I will take the free water!
