I was looking through my phone & I had a lot of random pictures that were too cute not to share, so here is a glimpse at our life during the past week.
Sadie loves taking pictures with my phone. Most of the time I delete them because they are blurry or there is not subject, but somehow, she caught a really good picture of me feeding Sophie dinner one evening:
Speaking of eating, we took the girls to Bahama Bucks after Sadie's first basketball practice. We told her it was a special treat since she did so good at basketball. We have taken her there before, but obviously it had been a while because she didn't remember, but she is hooked now:
They have a new princess flavor that is a combination of bubble gum & cotton candy. She loved it so much but she is such a sweet big sister that she wanted to share it with her sister:
Now she wants to go there every time we drive by :)
We also had a date night at one of our friend's house last weekend & we had so much fun:
We played a new card game that was hilarious - I mean I have not laughed that hard in a long time!
Sophie still will not walk :( She can physically, but she has not chosen to mentally. She has been cruising all over this house for 2 months now, but she won't do it if she is not holding on to something. It's starting to bother her outside because the cement is rough on her knees, so instead of walking, she is monkey walking:
She will literally keep her knees off of the ground but crawl around on all fours - just like a monkey. It is hilarious & I have taken several videos of her doing this.
Bryan went out of town this week for a school board trip & while he was gone, someone sent me this picture:
Seriously?! I feel like a stay at home mom all the time while he is traveling or at meetings & I find out this is what he is really doing?!
My birthday was Wednesday when we had our Easter play date & I was so surprised to receive a special delivery at the house:
Since Bryan was out of town, he had a present delivered: fresh, hot baked cookies & ice cream. The cookies were heavenly - they literally melted in your mouth. Such a fun surprise:
I kept telling the girls it was my birthday, but Sadie didn't really get it. She thought it was her birthday & wanted to celebrate her!
While Sadie was at school yesterday, Sophie hosted a play date for a few of her friends:
KJ & Camp were born the same week as Sophie & all 3 will start Sonshine School together next year! They had fun playing together while the moms visited, but this was the best group picture we could get. That's how it goes with busy toddlers who don't like to stay still.
Yesterday Sadie was supposed to have soccer after school, but her coach never showed up, so we stayed & played at the playground since it was a beautiful afternoon. It was the first time Sadie asked if Sophie could sit in her lap & slide with her:
This picture cracks me up because you can tell Sadie is so excited & Sophie is trying to hold on for dear life! They both actually enjoyed it & they slid down 10 more times:
And that's our life lately. I love looking back & remembering all of our memories together.
