So yesterday I blogged about our ice storm on Monday & Tuesday. Apparently we were supposed to wake up with 3" of snow on Wednesday morning, but instead I woke up & it was raining so the city of Frisco finally opened back up. I had a serious errand to run (long story, but quick version is that someone stole my passport out of the mail & I leave to go out of the country next week) & had to take the girls with me while Bryan worked. As soon as we were leaving the house, it started snowing. Big, beautiful snow flakes & Sadie was so excited:
It was fun driving through the snow on our way to the passport agency but it took me twice as long to get there because we still had ice on the road & it was snowing pretty heavily:
It only took a few days of cold weather for Sadie to figure out the routine: hat, gloves, rain boots & sunglasses. Check.
When we finally got there, I let Sadie play in the snow for a few minutes, but then we went inside & were there for over an hour. Not fun when you have 2 toddlers with you :( By the time we left, it had stopped snowing, but it looked beautiful outside. We decided to meet our friend Jamie & her kids for a play date since we were already out. We went to the Play Street Museum which is fairly new to Frisco. We hadn't been there yet, so the girls were excited. It was one of those places that was a perfect size - small enough where Sadie could run around & I didn't have to keep my eye on her the entire time. But it offered plenty of room for Sophie to explore:
I didn't really get any pictures of Sadie since I was with Sophie most of the time. This place was really cute though & I'm sure it won't be the last time we go there.
On a funny note, we were only there 1 1/2 hours, but by the time we left, the sun was out & all of the ice & snow had melted. Sadie was disappointed, but we have another round of snow projected tomorrow, so we'll see what this crazy Texas weather decides to do!
