Snow Angels

Yesterday morning we woke up & it was totally normal outside. Cold, but no snow or ice. By the time we sat down to eat breakfast, it had started snowing & it didn't stop snowing until it got dark last night. We have had ice & snow several times this week, but yesterday was a beautiful snow day:

Big, huge flakes fell all day & it wasn't slushy or messy, instead it was perfect powder - the kind you want to play in! Sadie has been asking all week to make snow angels, so we finally ventured out while Sophie was taking a nap. We were going to play in the back yard, but she saw her friend Hadley across the street, so we went over there to play with her:

The boys piled up a bunch of snow into the second story of their play house so the girls climbed up to play & slide down:

Sadie needed her daddy's help climbing up because it was a little slippery & then Bryan helped her down the slide because it was crazy fast yesterday from the snow! Then the girls jumped on the trampoline:

While they were up there, they laid down to make snow angels, but it happened so quickly that I didn't catch a picture of it. In fact, all of this happened in less than 10 minutes because Sadie hated it so much that she wanted to go back inside:

She has only played in the snow 2 or 3 times & this has happened every single time. She thinks it looks beautiful & wants to go outside & play but as soon as we go out there, she has changed her mind. I guess Bryan & I have trained her well, because she obviously prefers the warmer climates & water like we do. Guess we will still do beach vacations because I would not waste the money taking her skiing anytime soon!

We finally got her inside & warmed up:

Today looks the exact same outside. We haven't had anymore snow, but it definitely has not melted or warmed up. Tomorrow is March 1 so I hope we see signs of spring soon!
