Sadie's Three Year Old Check Up

I know Sadie technically turned 3 in December, but we just took her to the doctor this week. I didn't book her check up at her 2 year old appointment & by the time I remembered, her pediatrician was slammed around the holidays. Oh-well, I don't think she changed that much in a few weeks :)

Let me start by saying that she was so excited to go to the doctor. She has been a tad bit jealous since we have taken Sophie to the doctor & hospital so much. How many other 3 year olds are this elated to see their pediatrician?

First they checked her height & weight:

Although, I'm not sure how accurate it is with jeans & a sweatshirt on. I liked it when they were infants & they were weighed naked :) Her stats were as follows:

Height: 36", 44%
Weight: 31.6 lbs., 58%

Then they checked her pulse, temperature & blood pressure:

She did so good during all of her check ups. The nurse even commented that most toddlers aren't as focused as her.

Finally, they checked her vision:

Unfortunately, they found something minor that they would like to have checked out. They said her right eye won't stay focused & tends to turn in. I have never noticed it but they said they caught it on the machine & then her pediatrician looked at it & saw it. She said it was nothing major, but she wanted us to see an eye doctor just to have it checked.

Other than that, she did great. Developmentally she is right where she needs to be. She is still a great eater & sleeper & the few problems we have with her tend to be what every other parent of a 3 year old is going through also :) Lucky for her she did not have to get any shots, but we did give her the flu mist. Even that didn't bother her. I think she was just excited to get a sucker when it was time to leave!
