Left Overs from Conroe

As I was going through my phone, I found some more pictures of our week in Conroe that didn't make the Christmas blogs. One day my sister surprised the girls & gave them manicures with Jamberry nails:

Sadie was so proud of her fingernails! She sat there so patiently & was disappointed when they eventually fell off:

We also surprised the big kids & took them to a movie one afternoon to see "Penguins of Madagascar". They had been couped up at the house for a couple of days & were bouncing off the walls so it was fun to let them get out. And to our surprise, the movie was in 3D:

They were so excited to wear their glasses before the show started, but somehow they didn't stay on during the movie:

At least Kason got to enjoy the 3D experience! Sadie only enjoyed the first hour of the movie because she fell asleep in the last 30 minutes:

That's what happens when you fall asleep at the movie theater! Technically it's our fault because we thought we would let her be a big girl & skip her nap & go during the afternoon but apparently she still is not ready to drop her nap yet. This mom don't mind that at all!

We actually planned to come home earlier but then we found out the Longhorns were playing in the Texas Bowl in Houston, so of course we had to stay in town a couple of days longer so we could go to the game:

My mom watched the girls when she got home from work & my dad went to the game with us. We actually met up with 4 other friends for happy hour/dinner before the game so it was fun seeing friends while we were in town. What was not so fun? The game :( It was embarrassing. I kept thinking what I could have bought if I combined the money I spent for that ticket with my Christmas money instead. Oh-well. Sometimes it's not fun being a true fan. At least we had a good time with our Houston friends:

Thanks for watching the girls mom & dad, glad you got to go with us even though it wasn't a very fun game. Until next season - Hook 'Em!
