Most of our days are packed with events on our calendar, except for Fridays. I try to leave that day open so we have one free day to do our own thing or meet up for play dates. So we have had a few opportunities to go back to story time at the library on Friday morning. I used to take Sadie when she was younger, but honestly, we hadn't really been since Sophie was born. We are going to toddler story time which is designed for 2-3 year olds, but Sophie loves it just as much!
We usually get there a little early to make sure we secure a spot. Who knew story time was so busy that you had to get there early just to get a ticket?! The girls don't mind though because they like to play while we wait:
And we have lucked out & either met some friends there or randomly seen friends there. Sadie usually stands up, dances, signs, claps or whatever else the teacher is doing. In this case, she got upset because she caught me trying to catch a picture of her in action:
Sophie usually sits in my lap or she crawls around, but I try to incorporate her into the clapping & dancing. The class is only 30 minutes long, so afterwards, we go back to the children's play area & they run back & forth between the building blocks, kitchen & puppets. Actually, Sadie likes to sit at their little tables & read books too. But she also likes to get on their computers:
Which is kind of annoying & usually ends up with her getting in trouble. We are not big electronic people in our house so it's so annoying when we go to the library & all she wants to do is get on the computer when there are 2 stories full of books!
But this little girl is all about the books:
Luckily she doesn't know what a computer is so she is quite happy with books. Maybe a little too happy because I don't think the librarians would appreciate her tasting them :)
