Is It Raining?

I woke up last week in the middle of the night because it sounded like it was raining. When I got up the next morning, I realized that it hadn't rained, but all of the fountains & waterfalls in our pool were going off. Apparently, our pool equipment has built in freeze protection, so any time it drops 35 degrees or colder, the water features turn on so that the pipes won't freeze. Who knew?! I surely didn't because no one told me! In a way, I enjoy the sound of the waterfall, but at night, it confuses me. Now I can't tell if it's just the pool or if it's really raining!

But is has been cold for about a week now. Crazy cold. We woke up on Monday morning & had a light snow covering the houses & yard. I was all excited to see the pool covered in snow, but there wasn't much to see. The pool itself looked the same but there was snow on the landscaping around it:

The waterfalls were definitely running because it was in the low 20's:

But who would have thought - snow - 2 weeks before Thanksgiving?!

I should have taken a picture of our pumpkins that were still decorated from Halloween covered in snow :)
