Relay for Life

For those who read my blog regularly, I am sure you have heard me talk about Relay for Life. I am very passionate about the American Cancer Society since they raise funds to fight all cancer & I have been touched by different types of cancer in my family. Last year I volunteered to help Relay for Life in Frisco at the last minute & it was a small event, but this year I have been asked to co-chair the event with our support person at American Cancer Society. This past weekend I met her at a conference to start planning our event:

This year is even more special since it is the 30th anniversary of this event:

It takes a lot of people to make this event happen from volunteers, team captains, team members, cancer survivors & caregivers:

They even have these awesome shirts that come in different colors so everyone can recognize who you are. I was also proud to wear my nametag:

We have already set the date for May 29, 2015 at Wakeland High School in Frisco, TX & our web page is already set up if you would like to participate:

I am so excited to be organizing this event & working with families & friends along the way. I hope together we can raise money to fight cancer!

If anyone has questions or would like to participate, please let me know.
