Sea World

On the second day of our family vacation, we went to Sea World. Bryan & I hadn't been since we were kids so I was excited to see it again. We took a family picture as soon as we got there:

In case you are wondering where Sophie is, we left her at the hotel with a baby sitter. I knew it would be a long, hot day for her & she was too young to do anything, so we decided it would be better to leave her behind, which actually worked out well because then we could spend some extra one on one time with Sadie.

We saw several shows including the sea lions, water skiers & Shamu. Of course I took several pictures of each but I'll spare you the time of looking at all of them, so here are a few:

We sat in the splash zone at each show hoping to get wet, but we never did:

We even took the kids to see Elmo Rocks even though we don't watch Sesame Street & none of them knew who the characters were:

The kids loved it because there was a lot of singing & dancing. Here is a selfie Bryan & I took with the girls while they were enjoying it:

Towards the end of the concert we got to storm the stage & dance up front, but these kiddos were a little shy:

We also rode several rides. The big kids (Daniel, Natalie, Bryan & I) got to ride this awesome ride that had several loops where we went upside down while we were sitting & our feet were dangling. The grandparents got to watch the kids while we did that & apparently Sadie cried the whole time because she saw us & she was scared. Kason was a trooper & even rode several rides also, including the water log ride with the guys:

Bryan took Sadie to see the dolphins & the penguins:

Of course her favorite spot of the day was:

They had small rides for the kids:

a splash pad:

& lots of playgrounds & places where the kids could run around & hide:

We lucked out by going on a week day because it wasn't as crowded as we had anticipated & the weather was cloudy most of the morning so it didn't get too hot until that afternoon. We had a fun time & I'm sure we will go back again when Sophie is old enough to enjoy it. In the mean time, Sadie bought Sophie a souvenir:

Mimi & Doc gave each grand child some money to buy something at the park & for some reason they are all holding someone else's gift. Sadie got her first Barbie doll - it is a Sea World Trainer Barbie Doll. The Nemo fish book is for Sophie & the stuffed Shamu doll is actually Kason's. Those silly kids!
