Mothers Of Pre-Schoolers

I'm sure you have all heard me rave about my MOPS group - I absolutely love this group of ladies & I feel blessed to have gotten involved with this organization! So much so, that I volunteered to step up to the leadership team next year. I actually thought about it last year, but I knew I was pregnant & couldn't commit 100%, but hopefully there won't be any pregnancies or new babies next year to distract me :)

 

We had our first monthly meeting yesterday & it was one of my favorites. Our speaker is a local resident in Frisco who has her own skin care line, so she gave one of our members a make over. It was fun watching & learning different make up tips, even though I don't wear much make up. Afterwards, we got to make our own exfoliating scrub:

 

 

This is a warm vanilla sugar scrub, similar to what they sell at Bath & Body Works. Believe me, it smells heavenly! I cannot wait to use it! We took turns making it & then everyone got to take home a jar.

 

 

Laura & I both had babies around the same time, so we always have to take turns helping when we have our hands free!

 

 

Luckily, we have our mentor mom, Jerri to help us out! She takes turn holding our little ones so we can have a break. Thank goodness the big kids are in class doing their own thing!

 

 

I'm sad we only have a few more meetings left before we break for summer, but I am pumped to be leading a group next year!
