I know - how can I possibly have another Easter Egg Hunt to blog about? I think Sadie participated in 5 & we have the candy & toys to prove it. I will admit that I usually let the decorations stay up for a few days after a holiday but I woke up yesterday & took everything down. I was ready for Easter to be over with!
Before we celebrated Easter on Sunday, our neighborhood had their annual Easter party on Saturday. As soon as we got there we saw the Easter Bunny:
This was actually the best Sadie ever did around a mascot. She was so excited to see it (from a distance, of course!) and she was yelling hop, hop! But as soon as we got close, she got a little timid. At least she didn't cry!
They divide the egg hunts by ages, so of course her group got to go first:
I think Bryan was excited because this was really the first time he got to watch her this year:
After the hunt, she got to participate in all of the other festivities, including the bounce house:
She also got tattoos on her hands:
She had a butterfly balloon made just for her:
And she got to exercise some of that candy off by practicing her hula hooping:
Bryan's parents were also there so they got to watch her in action. She is definitely a busy little girl these days!
Unfortunately Sadie had so much fun that she was too wound up for her afternoon nap. Normally we make her stay in her room, even if she isn't tired just to have quiet time, but about halfway through her nap time, I heard a big thud, but then it got quiet. After looking at our video monitor, I realized that Sadie was not in her crib & her room was all lit up. Needless to say, Bryan & I ran up there to find Sadie playing dress up with her winter hats, scarves & gloves! She had climbed out of her crib, opened the blinds & was having a grand old time! We tried our best not to laugh & then we let her come watch tv & have quiet time with us downstairs. Thankfully she has stayed in her crib since then & that seems to have been an isolated incident, but I hate that I didn't get a picture to document that crazy occasion!
