Bahama Bucks

Last week we went out of town on vacation with the grandparents & had a great time! I will be posting soon with lots of pictures. We got home late Friday night so I spent most of the weekend unpacking, doing laundry, going through mail, grocery shopping - all that fun stuff. But we did sneak in a few meals with friends & it was good to be home & see everyone again!

We didn't do much for Memorial Day, but we did meet up with the Clark Family at Bahama Bucks. In case you haven't been there - it is AMAZING! They have them in Lubbock & I used to go there all the time when I was in college. They make sno-cones & they have the best shaved ice. Luckily one just opened outside of our neighborhood which is in walking distance from our house. They started building it last spring & I waited patiently while I was pregnant craving it during the hot summer months. Needless to say, it just opened in the past month, so they were a little behind schedule. Last night we took Sadie on a walk & met our friends there & let me tell you, it was worth the wait! We all enjoyed various flavors & came home with funny colored tongues - everyone but Sadie that is. Don't worry though - she is about to have her own experience soon as we are finally going to start feeding her cereal. Yummy! I will definitely post more about that later, but for now, enjoy the pictures of our Bahama Bucks Adventure!

For those who are Bahama Bucks fans, they usually have bright colored umbrellas that come in your sno-cone, but they were celebrating the holiday with miniature flags instead. How patriotic!
