We have officially been home for a week now with Sadie Kate & so far things are going good. Although, we are still having a lot of visitors & help around the house, so ask me in January again when things slow down after the holidays! On Tuesday, some of Bryan's former colleagues came over & brought us breakfast - thank you Cindy Dole & Stephanie Whitaker!
We have also enjoyed a few good meals thanks to our friends from the church. Here are pictures of Eileen Roberts & the Buchanaan Family when they came to drop off food.
On Wednesday we took our first family outing. Sadie had her first doctor appointment & she did really well in the car & at the doctor's office. She might have cried just a little when we had to take off her clothes & have her weighed, re-measured, etc. But our pediatrician says she looks good so we must doing something right :) Bryan was making fun of me because he says I already look like a stay at home Mom with my yoga pants, baseball cap & diaper bag!
We gave Sadie her first bath earlier this week & that was a fun experience! Unfortunately, Bryan & were both bathing her so we didn't get any pictures. My Mom was here all week as well, but I realized I didn't get any pictures of her either. Sorry Mimi! My parents left for the weekend to go visit my sister & her family, so Bryan's parents came over to spend some time with us.
Grammy & Grandpa got to help give Sadie another bath this afternoon. I have to show you one more thing when I zoom out from this picture - you will notice both of the dogs are right there beside them. Daisy is still very protective & likes watching over the newest member of our family.
Besides enjoying her nap nanny, Sadie has also loved her swing this week.
I have to admit that I haven't dressed her as cute yet - she has mostly been in newborn gowns & we have kept her swaddled. I haven't even busted out the bows & frilly outfits yet, but I will definitely dress her up for Christmas next week. Speaking of bows, we got another gift today that definitely climbs to the top of my favorite list:
We had a friend make all of these delicious bows! All sorts of themes, colors, holidays, etc. Cannot wait for her to wear them!
