Saturday afternoon, Bryan & I finally escaped the hospital & brought Sadie home! The whole day was full of surprises, starting with my sister flying in for a day trip. My parents picked her up & brought her straight to the hospital early that morning. Apparently everyone knew she was coming but me :)
We had fun getting ready to leave the hospital & she was our personal photographer as we left & took the short drive home. Here are some pictures from our outing:
In case you were wondering who bought that amazing outfit Sadie has on, that would be her father! He went shopping a while ago to pick out her "going home from the hospital" outfit & I couldn't have loved anything better!
When we got home we were surprised with a homecoming party with both of our families. Even our neighbors were outside & ready to see us.
Our parents made a wonderful meal & we had tons of snacks & desserts. Afterwards, we had some surprise visitors, our neighbors & good friends the Clark Family:
On Sunday, we had even more visitors:
My cousin Jennifer & her newest addition
My cousin Wade & his new wife Jamie
My Granny & Sadie's Great Granny
Bryan's Aunt Carlotta & Cousin Michele
Louis & Diana - my sister's in-laws
Today was finally the first day with no visitors so we tried to get a little more settled in. My Dad had to go home & Bryan's parents went back to work, but my Mom has graciously volunteered to stay with us for a week to help out.
Finally, here are a few pictures I took this afternoon of Sadie chilling in her Nap Nanny. Apparently, this is the best invention ever - she sleeps in it better than anything else. So does my nephew Max - it has something to do with the way the recliner supports the baby - it helps with their acid reflux.
That's right - we finally introduced the pacifier. You know, the big ones they try to give in the hospital. We made it 3 days without it but we gave in because it really helps soothe her. And yes, that's Daisy - she is adjusting well considering. She still doesn't know exactly what's going on, but she has already gotten protective & watches out for Sadie. What would we do without our 2 princesses?
I think your two princesses are just precious!
