September with Sophie

Sadie started August & back to school busy with soccer & school volleyball, but Sophie's schedule finally kicked off after Labor Day, so her September has been busy. Starting with volleyball. She is with the same team & the same coach but she took their team & moved them to a club so she will be playing year-round. Since this is her first competitive team, I threw them a signing party to kick off the season:

We had the girls over after school one afternoon to have snacks, take pictures & let the girls swim. We even had a surprise stuffed volleyball for them:

They are just playing in a rec league this fall & this winter to get them ready but then tournament season will start at the beginning of the year. Can't wait to see what these girls do!

She is also busy with soccer & so far, their season is off to a good start. I have to give a shout out to Frisco Soccer Association because it is one of the first leagues that kids can join in our area when they turn 3. Both of our girls started then & look where Sadie is today!

Last weekend we met at Toyota Stadium for team pictures:

then headed straight to their game where we played an old teammate, who also happens to be our friend from church:

But don't forget about cheer! Last weekend she was actually head cheerleader & she won the week's spirit stick:

She's also signed up for a lot at school this year - choir, library leaders & the Pink Pacers running club. I'm sure there will be more as the year goes on! We are soaking up our last year of elementary school, so I met a few of my mom friends for lunch with the girls last week:

And she invited our old crossing guard, Mrs. Nancy for Games with Grandparents:

None of our grandparents could go & neither could Kate's, so they had a date with Mrs. Nancy together:

Finally, she has been busy at church also. Again, since she is in 5th grade, it is her last year in First Kids, so she gets to be on the Serve Squad Sunday mornings:

and it's her last year of GA's on Wednesday nights:

It's going to be a great year for this girl before she moves over to Griffin with her sister!
