Last weekend we skipped town & headed down to Conroe to spend the week with my family. Natalie & her family couldn't come until later, but my mom picked up Zoe so the girls could spend some extra time together. I can't even begin to tell you how much fun they had! This was the best the 3 of them have ever played :) My mom had a couple of surprises for them including a lip balm kit:
She also did their nails:
Sadie had story time & read a Thanksgiving book to the girls:
We may have hit up a few stores for a little Christmas shopping:
We also snuck in a movie:
The girls spent a lot of time outside:
Until finally the rest of the Clayton Crew joined us:
My mom bought some puffy markers that you color & then dry/heat with a blow dryer so the kids had fun decorating their place mats:
Kason baked us a cake that we all enjoyed eating:
and then the kids piled into Mimi & Doc's bed for movie night:
The next morning we woke up ready for Thanksgiving:
We had an awesome meal & spent the day at home visiting/playing/eating with each other :) Until someone fell asleep:
She wasn't sick, but she took a 3 hour nap on Thanksgiving day. Which is unheard of! I really think she was exhausted after days of staying up late & not sleeping in like she normally does. Once she woke up, she was ready to go again!
On our way home, we made 1 pit stop to see Sam Houston:
Sadie just learned about him at school so she was so excited to stop & see the visitor's museum:
We took pictures & sent them to her teacher so she could show the class:
It was a great trip! The weather was nice, we got to spend our first holiday together in my parent's new house and we spent 5 days away from the craziness of our everyday life :) Thank you mom for hosting us!
