Christmas Morning 2019

After staying up late on Christmas night, the girls slept in on Christmas morning. They were up by 8:00 but Bryan was not, so they had to wait a few minutes until he was ready:

He always videos & I always take pictures :) Sneaky Santa left empty bags & a trail of snow from the chimney to the back door so the girls were kind of confused. Do we open our stockings? Why aren't there any presents? And what is this trail of snow?

Eventually they followed the trail that led them outside:

Nothing on the back patio..... nothing around the pool..... but wait a minute - look what they found in the back yard:

Not just a trampoline, but a pink trampoline! Actually it is mostly pink but it also has blue. Because Sophie loves pink, but Sadie always says that blue is her favorite color. To say the girls were excited is an understatement:

They didn't even notice that the swing set was missing. I finally asked did you notice the swing set was gone & Sadie quickly responded that Santa probably took it to the North Pole so the elves can play on it! It was adorable! One of those moments I am so glad we caught on video :)

Who knew it would be around 50 degrees & beautiful on Christmas morning?! We had a fun time taking turns jumping with the girls:

I can do some pretty good mom toe touches, Bryan can flip & we all love dunking on the basketball goal! Even Grammy & Grandpa got in on the action:

Eventually we headed back inside to eat breakfast, check out our stockings & open the rest of our gifts:

By the way, do you like our matching pajamas this year? I bought them at American Girl for the 3 of us & their baby dolls. Although they didn't understand why Dad didn't have a matching set!

It was a fun morning & honestly, the day just got better. It was so warm outside the girls actually wore shorts & spent the rest of the morning/afternoon jumping outside. Already I can tell we are going to use the trampoline way more than the swing set. Don't get me wrong, we loved our playset & we had it for 6 years so we definitely got our money out of it, but the girls have definitely grown up & were ready for something new.
