Last week, the 1st grade had their first performance after school:
They have been working on it in music class for the past couple of months & Sadie was so excited about it. It was a pajama party & the kids were asked to wear pajamas & bring a stuffed animal:
All of the kids got to sing in the chorus, a few got to be dancers in the front & a few had speaking parts, including Sadie. She got be one of the first to introduce the show:
She didn't even hesitate - she memorized her lines & said them perfectly! Then she ran back to her spot so she could sing & dance the rest of the time:
All of their songs were about getting ready for bed, being scared of the dark, conquering your fears & finally going to sleep. You can probably tell from the pictures above, they sang about brushing their teeth, monsters under the bed & twinkling stars. It was pretty dang cute & you could tell the kids were having fun. Afterwards, she wanted pictures with her friends:

Our school got a new music teacher this year & she has been awesome! All thanks go to Mrs. Masood for organizing their performance & teaching them:
