Walking Wednesday 2018

Wednesday was International Walk to School Day & Sadie's school always does a great job of promoting it. Usually Bryan takes Sadie to school but I had to be up there anyway that morning so I took her instead while Bryan stayed home with Sophie while she slept. We met up with our neighbors & then picked up friends along the way:

When we got there, it was a like a pep rally outside the school. They had music, sidewalk chalk & the Wakeland cheerleaders & mascot were there. Thankfully we left early enough to get there & enjoy the festivities:

After morning announcements, we pulled all of the girls scouts from their classes & met up in the front lobby:

At their last meeting, these girls made water conservation bags & they were invited to pass them out to all of the staff at their school. Some of them were nervous, but overall, they did a great job passing out the bags & teaching everyone what they learned:

Love the way their school encourages being active & Girl Scouts encourages community involvement. So proud of these girls!
