Life Lately

It's been an uneventful week & not much to share out of the ordinary. At gymnastics, Sophie asked me to take a picture of her on the balance beam because she was so proud to be up there by herself:

We were invited to chapel this week & while they were doing an experiment with a balloon, she got scared & went & sat in her teacher's lap:

There are 60 kids in her age group & she was the only one scared. She really thought it was going to pop!

She was a great helper this week because I had to drop everything at my semi-annual consignment sale:

The girls did really good cleaning out their rooms this year because they really are starting to understand why we get rid of things when we outgrow them or don't need them. We usually do a good job donating throughout the year but then twice a year we like to sale what we can.

Sadie's been at school all week so nothing new for her, except she had a friend over one afternoon for a play date. They had fun coloring & doing arts & crafts:

In case you are wondering, yes, they did a pumpkin craft & yes, they are wearing Halloween fangs. Since soccer was cancelled again last weekend, we got bored & let the girls decorate the inside. I told them we couldn't decorate the outside until October 1, but we are all spooky inside. And thanks to Jamie, I even went to Target & stocked up on Halloween candy:

Yes, I am the crazy one who buys it 1 1/2 months early when it is 40% off! Hopefully we won't eat it all before Halloween actually gets here!

Last night, we took the girls to our first football game of the year:

It was Reedy High School's homecoming so they loved seeing everyone's mums!

And today Sophie asked if she could go eat lunch with Sadie. Ok, that's easy. We usually pack her a lunch or we pick up lunch for the 2 of them, but today she specifically asked if she could buy her lunch in the cafeteria. Sadie was so excited to show her how:

She picked chocolate milk & cheese bread. That's it. Sadie loaded up her tray with applesauce & carrots but Sophie would not even try anything from the salad bar. Of course. I have a feeling I'm going to have really watch her lunch account next year to see what she is buying! At least she feels like a big girl & is ready for kinder!
