Crayola Experience

Jamie & I surprised the girls last week & took the littles to a new adventure in town:

It literally just opened a few weeks ago so we were excited to check it out. I was a little bummed when we pulled up & saw school buses everywhere, but it worked out ok. It was a little more crowded than we expected with the field trips, but we still had fun. First stop, the girls had tokens & got to create their own crayons:

They got to choose the color, a design & they got to type their name. It was pretty cool! And we had extra tokens so we made the big siblings some too. They also had a couple of places where you could take a selfie & it turned into a coloring sheet or a digital file:

And a neat place where you take a crayon, watch it melt & then you can create something with it. Both of the girls chose to make crayon rings:

They were so proud of their new rings!

Of course they spent a lot of time coloring:

And my personal favorite was the raining color wall:

Honestly, there were so many exhibits we only went through about half of them. I know the girls had fun but I think Sadie would have really liked it since she is a little older. They had stations where you could play with mold, paint, design - anything you can think of. She even had fun in chalk town:

But we didn't have fun at lunch:

It took way too long to get our overpriced food :( Let's just say they still need to work on their customer service at the Crayola Café. Unfortunately we couldn't stay too long because we had to go pick up Sadie & the twins from school but I have a feeling we will going back to visit again with them sometime:
