Frisco Community Parade 2017

Every November, around Veteran's Day, Frisco has it's annual community parade. We only have 1 parade every year so it's a big one & a lot of fun! We have participated since the girls were born & they love it also:

We got there early & walked around. The first thing we saw was the firetrucks & the fire clowns:

Then we saw Harley & Mason on their floats:

Their dad is a school board member with Bryan so we usually ride with them in the parade, but this year they rode in their own floats. In fact, 4 of the school board members showed up to walk so Sadie & I were the only ones in the truck this year:

We kept the candy stocked & re-filled the guys when they needed it:

We had a lot of candy left over & we were getting close to the end of the parade so I let the girls hop out & finish passing out candy with Bryan:

FISD was the 2nd position in the parade so we finished right away & went back to the holding area for Sadie to meet up with her Daisy Troop:

They were actually the 2nd to last group in the parade so these poor girls had to wait around for 1 1/2 hours before it was their time to go. They have had 2 meetings but this was their first official event so they were beyond excited. They had all of the cub scouts & girl scouts walking together passing out candy & waving their flags:

Since it was our 2nd time through the parade route, we knew where most of our friends were so we had fun stopping by & saying hi to everyone:

It was a perfect fall morning with chilly weather & we had so much fun celebrating our city, our schools & our veterans. We absolutely love participating in the parade every year but it was even more special getting to do it with our new group of friends:
