After graduation last week, we took a quick trip to Austin for a wedding. It sounds so funny to say that because we hardly go to weddings anymore but this was a fraternity brother of Bryan's from UT & they have kept in touch through the years. Thankfully my sister lives in Austin so we had a place to crash & she helped watch the girls while we went to the wedding. Zoe & Daniel had gone out of town for the weekend but they were elated to see Max & Kason:
The wedding was on Friday night at Pecan Springs Ranch & it was beautiful. It was an outdoor wedding & the weather couldn't have been more perfect. When I checked out their website, their slogan said it best "Hill Country Charm, Uptown Style":
They actually live in California so it was pretty cool to see them mix the Texas & California influences. The ranch was spread out & there were swings everywhere on the property, neat places to take photos, outdoor games & so much more:
They even had an Airstream camping trailer set up with a photo booth inside. I meant to get a picture of the outside because it was so cute, but I forgot, so here is a picture of our photos instead:
After the ceremony, they took pictures & we got to hang outside visit, play games & have drinks while we waited to go inside for the reception. They even had beer mules roaming the property:
That was definitely a first! Dinner was catered by a local barbecue joint & it was delicious! We ended the night dancing & Bryan was having a great time - maybe too good of a time with his dance moves!
It really was a fun evening & we enjoyed seeing friends we hadn't seen in a while:
On our way out, we saw longhorn cookies for wedding favors so we grabbed 2 for the girls:
And when we got home, we found them passed out in Natalie's bed with Kason:
It was a quick weekend get away but it felt good to come home after being in Boston earlier in the week. Thank you for watching the girls Nat & letting us crash your new home!
