While we were in London, my parents came & stayed with the girls. It was kind of a last minute trip & all 4 of the grandparents work so we were lucky to find out that my mom happened to have Thursday & Friday off. It makes it so much easier to have the girls stay at home, especially during the school year so they can still resume their normal schedule. She took them to school on Thursday & then she treated them to ice cream at the Double Dip afterwards:
I'm a little jealous because apparently the Double Dip closed over the weekend :( They are opening a new location which is actually closer to our house (which I am excited about!) but I am a little sad that Bryan & I didn't get to go to their old location one last time. We have been going there since we moved here, which was way before kids!
On Friday, she took the girls to The Coop & let them play:
Apparently Sophie loved it! And when they got home they got to watch a movie:
You can tell in the picture above that Sadie didn't feel well. She had a lingering cough for over a week & didn't feel well running around The Coop. But she made it to soccer practice that night & her game the next day, even though she didn't feel 100%. My dad had a football game Friday night but he drove up on Saturday morning so he could watch her soccer game. I guess the more she ran, the more she coughed :(
On Sunday, our neighborhood had their annual fall festival so my parents took the girls after church. You can tell by the pictures below they had a great time:
Their faces looked so cute painted! And they got to jump in a bounce house & play Halloween games:
They even came home with a lot of Halloween candy!
Thank you Mimi & Doc for watching the girls. I know they enjoyed spending extra time with you & it always makes me feel good knowing they are at home keeping to their same schedule. And we love seeing pictures of them when we are away so thanks for sharing!
