As I mentioned in my post yesterday, I took Sadie to her first play date since Sophie was born. We met up with our MOPS friends at a new place in town called the Urban Air Trampoline Park. I have heard about these trampoline parks & seen them on the news because they are kind of a new thing lately, but didn't know how it would be for Sadie. Luckily, three days a week they have toddler jump times where it's only open for kids in pre-school. I have to admit that I was a little intimidated when I walked in because the place is huge & there were a ton of people there. Granted, most of them were moms with toddlers & babies just like me, so we fit right in! Sadie did not hesitate one bit & as soon as I took off her boots, she took off:
They have several different areas with trampolines, including a basketball court & a dodge ball court. The kids could go in these areas as well, but they weren't really playing dodge ball or basketball - it was mostly them bouncing around with the balls. She also discovered the foam pit:
Thank goodness she isn't old enough to really do flips or anything crazy into the foam pit. She would barely get in it & then she would kind of get scared & try to climb out. Notice I say try....
Poor girl is still kind of short & has a hard time climbing :)
And Sophie was a trooper for her first play date:
Yep, that's right - she slept the entire time. Which actually made it easier for me because I just sat her car seat beside the trampoline & got to jump right along with Sadie!
For only $5, this was well worth the money. Sadie ran/jumped around for 2 hours & then came home & took an awesome nap. Guess we will be going there again!
