One of our good friends Emily stepped up as soon as Sophie was born & set up a care calendar to provide meals for our family. We didn't start it at first because it was during the holidays & we had a lot of family in town helping out, but they started bringing meals in January. I think we had friends sign up for a couple of times a week for most of the month & let me tell you it has been a blessing! It started at just the right time since we are back to a normal routine with Bryan back at work. If we don't have a meal delivered, we usually have leftovers so I haven't had to cook or clean in the kitchen much lately. I haven't been as good about taking pictures of our visitors, but I have snapped a few. Here is Emily with her son Carter:
& last night our friends the Mabry's came over. I got a shot of their daughter Marley playing with Sadie:
And that's their newest addition Haven in the background. She was born in October so I have a feeling there will be lots of play dates in the future!
We are blessed to have so many good friends who have taken care of us during this time & we look forward to repaying the favor whenever it is one of their turns!
