Christmas Eve was our first official outing as the Dodson family of four :) All of Bryan's extended family got together at his Nanny's house & since Sophie was already a week old & I was feeling pretty good, we thought we would join them. We may have been about 30 minutes late, but hey all 4 of us actually showed up, right?!
Some of his family stopped by the hospital when Sophie was born, but most of them hadn't met her yet, so they enjoyed passing her around:
As you can see, it didn't bother this little Christmas cutie because she slept the entire time we were there:
The rest of us ate, a lot - I don't know how I am supposed to lose the baby weight with all of the delicious food I have been tempted with lately! And we opened a lot of gifts, but the highlight was the annual Dodson gift exchange.
Good thing Santa came late on Christmas Eve, because we didn't get home until almost midnight! That was the latest Sadie has ever stayed up, but she had so much fun playing with her cousins & Christmas is only once a year. And poor Sophie didn't have a clue what was going on! Maybe next year she will enjoy it a little more.
