Election Day

Another part of our busy day last Saturday was swinging by the polls at our local middle school because Saturday was election day. Bryan already voted early, but I never made it up there with Sadie so we had to stop by so I could cast my ballot. It was pretty exciting to be there because we quietly celebrated a victory for Bryan:

For those who don't know, Bryan has been secretly campaigning since last fall. He really didn't tell anyone until earlier this year. He was considering a run for Frisco ISD School Board so we had anticipated that it would be a busy spring with an even busier campaign weekend! Fortunately, the candidate that was set to run against him decided to drop out of the race, so Bryan was elected without running a campaign at all! In fact, the city still held their local election, but the school board cancelled theirs because all 3 candidates ran unopposed.

Officially he won't get sworn in until the middle of June, but he is already hard at work attending training sessions & meetings. Sadie & I are so proud of him! He is truly dedicated to making Frisco ISD the best education for our students & I'm blessed that Sadie is his source of inspiration.

For those who want to learn more about his campaign, check out his website:
